Despite the clear potential of bringing Minority Report to the small-screen viewers haven’t exactly flocked to see the new futuristic thriller, and as a result of its slow start Fox have now trimmed the first season order down to a mere 10 episodes.
Originally scheduled for a 13 episode run (airing 10 episodes in the fall, before the remaining episodes and any possible further episodes – as there was always the possibility of extension – airing later in the season), producers will now need to find a way for the 10th episode to serve as both a season finale, and potentially series finale; as after being trimmed this early, the future of the entire show is now in jeopardy.
