We saw the release of the latest character posters just a few days ago, and have only just stopped laughing at the well-timed swears and oddly inappropriate fantasy based humour contained within the first Red Band Trailer for Your Highness, a new restricted trailer has just been released (and is now available to view below).
Containing a fair bit of new footage, but many similar jokes (and a lot more of the fan-pleasing, pre-pregnancy, shots of Natalie Portman in a metal thong), the new trailer is similarly unsuitable for work, and further suggests that the film will be a stoner movie from start to finish; but one based in a hilarious, fantastical, medieval, fantasy realm.
Starring Danny McBride (Pineapple Express) and James Franco (127 Hours) as princes Thadeous and Fabious respectively, the film places the two princes on a quest to rescue Fabious’ blushing bride (played by 500 Days of Summer star Zooey Deschanel) from the clutches of a sexually frustrated, bride-kidnapping, sorcerer named Leezar (Justin Theroux, American Psycho).
Along the way the two princes team up with warrior woman Isabel (Black Swan’s Natalie Portman), battle dragons, deal with poisonings, meet a pot-smoking puppet, and attempt to make their father; The King (Last Action Hero’s Charles Dance); proud of their valiant actions (when they; particularly Thadeous; aren’t busy trying to get their ends away).
Also starring Band of Brothers’ Damian Lewis, Your Highness is due for a U.S. release on April 8th, and will make it’s way into U.K. cinemas on April 13th.
