It wasn’t that long ago that he was shortlisted for the lead role in Tony Gilroy’s (writer of all three current Jason Bourne movies) upcoming Bourne spinoff; The Bourne Legacy; (a role that eventually went to The Hurt Locker’s Jeremy Renner), but it’s now been announced that Oscar Isaac (Sucker Punch) will take on a different role in the film.

Isaac will appear not as the lead character, but Number Three; yet another brainwashed assassin, who will likely be facing off against the hero; in the film which will co-star Edward Norton (Fight Club) and Rachel Weisz (The Mummy), and is due to be released on August 3rd 2012 in the US, before making its UK debut on August 17th 2012.
