Jennifer Lawrence (The Hunger Games) and Chris Pratt (Jurassic World) star as two travellers on an interstellar ship carrying 5,000 people on a 120-year-long journey to a new world, but unexpectedly wake up alone, 90 years earlier than planned, to a malfunctioning ship and a possible dark secret lurking behind their apparently rosy terraforming mission.
Co-starring Michael Sheen (Frost/Nixon), Andy Garcia (The Untouchables), and Laurence Fishburne (Boyz n the Hood), Passengers is due to be released on 21 December in both the US and UK.
