Patrick Wilson and Alec Baldwin Caught Stealing

Adapted from the first book in Charlie Huston’s Henry Thompson trilogy, and scripted by Watchmen’s David Hayter, Caught Stealing is an upcoming noir thriller  that’s just landed its two lead actors; Rock of Ages’ Alec Baldwin, and Lakeview Terrace’s Patrick Wilson.

Wilson will star as a former baseball player who turned to booze and bar-tending after his sports career took a nose-dive, and unexpectedly gets caught up in a huge treasure hunt in New York City when his neighbour asks him to mind his cat; a cat which is apparently very important to some Samoan hitmen, two very violent brothers, a number of Russian gangsters, and a rather sadistic cop (Baldwin).

Whilst still lacking a director at this point, producer Kirk D’Amico (Van Wilder) insists that “Caught Stealing is, first and foremost, a great script; a wrong-man plot worthy of Hitchcock; and a brilliant adaption of the first book of the Henry Thompson trilogy”; meaning it shouldn’t be too long before someone jumps behind the megaphone, and Caught Stealing can officially start filming.
