Pete’s Dragon has been given a retool, and will soon be heading back to cinemas by way of a full live-action Disney reboot, as seen in the Pete’s Dragon official trailer (below), and newly released poster on the right (click to view full size).
Robert Redford (Captain America: The Winter Soldier) stars as a man who’s always told tales of a fierce dragon living in the forests of the Pacific Northwest, stories which’ve been largely ignored until his daughter (Bryce Dallas Howard, Jurassic World) finds a young boy named Pete (Oakes Fegley), who claims to live in the woods with his only friend Elliott; a dragon.
Directed by David Lowery (Ain’t Them Bodies Saints), and co-starring Karl Urban (Dredd) and Wes Bentley (Interstellar), Pete’s Dragon is due to be released on August 12th in both the US and UK.
