Prometheus’ Rating Confirmed

Recently there’s been a lot of chatter about Ridley Scott’s upcoming sci-fi horror Prometheus getting a PG-13 rating in the US (meaning it would likely have headed for a 12A release in the UK), but thankfully Prometheus has a confirmed R-Rating in the US, and will be heading to the UK with a 15 certificate.

What’s even better news for film-fans who were looking forward to the release, but felt a little put off by the PG-13 rumours, is that both the R-Rated US cut and the 15 UK cut have been passed without any edits; meaning it’ll be shown pretty much exactly as Ridley Scott intended it to be seen, and does contain some “intense images and brief language.”

Now drawing ever closer, Prometheus stars Noomi Rapace (The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo), Michael Fassbender (X-Men: First Class), Charlize Theron (Monster), Idris Elba (The Wire), and Guy Pearce (Memento), contains strong links with Scott’s 1979 Alien movie, and is due to be released on June 1st in the UK, and on June 8th in the US.
