Prometheus Trailer

So, apparently Prometheus; the upcoming Ridley Scott directed sci-fi movie; has nothing to do with Alien (despite all the initial talk centring around the fact it was a prequel), yet it’s hard to deny that the recently released trailer for the film (now available to view below) seems to have a whole lot in common with Scott’s 1979 horror movie; including the very dark, isolated, and confined setting.

While few plot details have been given about the film (other than the fact it sees a team of scientists searching for the origin of mankind, and discovering something dark and sinister), we do know that it will star Noomi Rapace (The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo), Charlize Theron (Monster), Idris Elba (The Wire), Michael Fassbender (Inglorious Basterds), Patrick Wilson (Lake House), and Guy Pearce (Memento), looks to be very reminiscent of Alien (though Scott insists that xenomorphs will not be making an appearance), and is due to be released on June 1st I the UK, and on June 8th in the US.
