Currently seen on the big screen in the “emotional” boxing movie Southpaw, and also currently on the small screen with HBO’s True Detective Season 2, Rachel McAdams is now lining up her next project; as she’s just entered talks to star in Marvel’s upcoming Doctor Strange movie.

Due to be directed by Scott Derrickson (Sinister), Doctor Strange will see Sherlock/The Imitation Game star Benedict Cumberbatch taking on the lead role of Dr. Stephen Strange; a surgeon who loses his ability to operate after a car crash, but subsequently learns to master magical powers; when filming begins this November.

Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 years A Slave) and Tilda Swinton (The Grand Budapest Hotel) are also set to appear and while it’s not yet a done deal, and McAdams says “it’s still super-early days, and I don’t know where that’s gonna go, if it’s gonna go anywhere at all”, should she sign on she could be starring as Clea; a student of Doctor Strange who can manipulate the realm almost as well as him.
