Resident Evil: The Final Chapter Shoots This Summer

Milla Jovovich resident evilWhile production was actually due to begin last year, the next instalment in the Resident Evil film franchise was delayed when lead actress Milla Jovovich announced she was pregnant, and would be unable to effectively return to the role of all-action heroine Alice whilst carrying a child, though Milla has now returned to Facebook, and announced the new Resi-movie is back on track, and due to begin filming this coming August.

Judging by the title (Resident Evil: The Final Chapter), the new film looks to be the final instalment in the survival/action/horror franchise (based on the bestselling video game series), and will not only see Milla’s husband Paul W.S. Anderson returning to the director’s chair, but Wentworth Miller (Prison Break, and now The Flash, star) returning to the role of Chris Redfield, ahead of its newly scheduled September 2nd 2016 release date in the US.
