Rogue-Cut of X-Men: Days Of Future Past Not On First Release

X-Men Days Of Future Past PosterDespite originally having a much larger role in X-Men: Days Of Future Past than the blink-and-you’ll-miss-it glimpse we were given in the final cut (much to many a fans’ dismay), rumours have suggested we’d get to see Anna Pacquin’s Rogue fully restored in the upcoming Blu-ray and DVD release due later this year; something we now know isn’t the case, at it’s going to take a little longer to restore the missing scenes.

While the theatrical cut is still due to be released on October 14th in the US, and on November 10th in the UK, and will be available on Blu-ray, Blu-ray 3D, and DVD, fans hoping to see an extended cut featuring Rogue more prominently will have to wait until an unspecified date, sometime in the first half of next year.

Having officially announced the new cut, writer/producer Simon Kinberg (who’s also scripting the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse) has said “it’s a big chunk, a substantial part of the movie”, adding how they want to give fans the fullest picture of the film – behind the camera, and in front of it. Every movie has scenes that are cut out, but not every movie has scenes cut out with such a beloved character.”
