Coming from Deadpool writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, and directed by Safe House‘s Daniel Espinosa, below you’ll find the first official trailer for the upcoming sci-fi/thriller Life.

Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool), and Jake Gyllenhaal (Nightcrawler) headline as two members of a team of astronauts aboard the International Space Station who, after finding proof of extraterrestrial life (in the form of a microscopic specimen), quickly find themselves in a terrifying situation with nowhere to go.

Rebecca Ferguson (Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation), and Hiroyuki Sanada (The Wolverine), will also co-star when Life is released on 12 May next year in the UK, before making its official US release date on 26 May 2017.
