Coming from director Daniel Espinosa (Snabba Cash), Safe House is a high-octane action/thriller which places Denzel Washington in the role of a former CIA operative turned rogue assassin named Tobin Frost, and has just had its first trailer released online (now available to view below).
Safe House gives Denzel the chance to once again play a bad guy (not dissimilar to his character in Training Day), who will this time be teaming up with an inexperienced CIA agent named Matt Weston (Ryan Reynolds, The Green Lantern); who’s tasked with looking after the former agent, yet soon ends up working with him; when their safe house is attacked, and Weston realizes one of his own men may have given him up.
Co-starring Robert Patrick (Terminator 2), Brendan Gleeson (The Guard), Vera Farmiga (The Departed), Sam Shepard (Black Hawk Down), and Joel Kinnaman (The Killing), Safe House is due to be released on February 10th in the US, before making its UK released date on February 24th.
