Whilst The Wolf Of Wall Street star Margot Robbie had entered negotiations to headline the upcoming adaptation of Masamune Shirow’s Ghost In The Shell, she’s since had to bow out due to commitments with the planned Suicide Squad movie; leaving the door wide open for Avengers star Scarlett Johansson to step in and claim the role as her own.
The Rupert Sanders (Snow White and the Huntsman) directed movie will be a live-action version of the classic anime tales, and see Scarlett starring as a cyborg law enforcer, working as part of Japan’s National Public Safety Commission, when it’s released on an as yet unannounced date.
