Schwarzenegger Confirms The Governator Film

After much speculation about what which of the many roles he was being offered would finally tempt ex-Governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger back to the movie world, he recently announced that his next major project would be a comic-book hero based on himself; entitled The Governator.

Speaking recently in Cannes, Schwarzenegger himself stated that “first will come [The Governator] comic books, then a [cartoon] TV series” before the character based on the legendary action hero/Governor will get his own series of games, “and then a movie”; which will feature Arnold informing the public that he is stepping down from the Governor’s office in order to spend more time with his family, when he’s actually doing so in order to become the ultimate crime-fighter; The Governator.

Schwarzenegger also revealed a short trailer for The Governator cartoon series (which is being developed with the help of legendary comic creator Stan Lee), which was received fairly well, laid out the character’s story, and even featured some cameo voice-work by Larry King (who Schwarzenegger stated could become a recurring character in the series) as an investigative journalist; who is just one of a long list of celebrities (from actors “to politicians, tycoons, and business men”) he said is interested in participating.

But The Governator doesn’t mark the end of Arnie’s current plans, as he’ll be back in live action movies in no time; as he’s already stated that he will be “getting back in front of the camera”, and is being offered every kind of film, from “action to comedy to sequels”, and will be announcing his first live action project fairly soon.
