Picking up a mere decade after the events of Scream 3, the newly released Scream 4 (which entered cinemas in both the UK and US on the 15th of April) once again follows some of the series’ best known faces, for another murder heavy movie from acclaimed horror director Wes Craven (Nightmare on Elm Street).

Having put her life back together and become a successful writer since the horrific events she went through in the past three Scream movies, Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell, Wild Things) returns to Woodsboro, and becomes the prime suspect in the murder of a pair of high-school children; who were brutally slain by a brand new Ghostface, on the fifteenth anniversary of the original killings.

Courtney Cox-Arquette (Friends) and David Arquette (Eight Legged Freaks) also reprise their roles as Gale and Dewey Riley respectively, and are joined by series newcomers Anna Paquin (True Blood), Hayden Panettiere (Heroes), and Rory Culkin (Signs), in the fourth entry in the franchise; an entry that brings the classic format into a new decade, with new rules.

Scream 4 is out now in cinemas nationwide, and the official trailer for the film is available to view below.
