SDCC: Second trailer for Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice lands

With Marvel being absent from this year’s San Diego Comic Con, everyone’s attention has turned to DC Comics and their upcoming cinematic universe. Earlier this afternoon, DC gave fans one of the big things they had been hoping for- a second trailer for Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice!

Whereas the first trailer gave us a lot of dark imagery and eerie voiceovers, the second one provided us with a closer look at the film’s storyline and also gave us our first glimpse of several characters.

In the trailer, we see Superman (played by the returning Henry Cavill) going up for trial, presumably for the damage he caused to Metropolis. Ben Affleck’s Bruce Wayne rescuing a child in the resulting explosion and the aftermath of all of this is seen also, before he suits up again as The Batman.

We are introduced to Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor and Gal Godot’s Wonder Woman. Also shown are a few shots of the two heroes actually fighting each other, Luthor chatting to Superman and Lex discovering what appears to be Kryptonite. Perhaps the most astonishing thing about this trailer however is that it reveals that there will actually be some colour and daylight in the movie!

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice is due for release March 25th 2016 in the USA.
