Sin City 2 Filming This Summer

It’s the film Frank Miller fans have been waiting a full seven years for, and now it looks as of they may well get their wish, as director Robert Rodriguez recently announced his plans to film a sequel to his comic-book adaptation, Sin City, this coming summer (as soon as he’s finished with another sequel he’s currently working on; Machete Kills).

Rodriguez has said that due to the way the development schedules have “bottlenecked”, he’ll likely be editing Machete Kills whilst shooting Sin City 2; which will again be shot largely against “green screens”, and based on Miller’s graphic novel “A Dame to Kill For” as well as two as yet unpublished stories Rodriguez says will provide a few “surprises.”

As of yet no official casting announcements have been made, though as A Dame to Kill once again involves Marv it’s likely Rodriguez will soon try and tempt Mickey Rourke back into the fray (something Mickey’s not exactly expressed a desire to do in the past), and lock down the rest of the cast ASAP if the summer start date holds firm.
