Sin City A Dame To Kill For PosterAfter becoming a massive cult hit back in 2005, the first adaptation of Frank Miller’s Sin City graphic novels, was widely praised, and left fans asking when they’d get to see a Sin City sequel, and now we not only have an answer to that very question, but the first official Sin City: A Dame To Kill For trailer (now available to view below, follow a selection of three images from the film).

Once more directed by Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez, their Sin City follow-up will be partially based on the graphic novel of the same name (A Dame To Kill For), and will see newcomer Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Looper) starring as a gambler named Johnny who ends up winning against the wrong opponent, and starring alongside returning hero Mickey Rourke; once more playing the unforgettable Marv, and having his two tales (A Dame To Kill For, and Just Another Saturday Night) set before The Hard Goodbye (his focus in the last movie), and seeing him team-up P.I Dwight McCarthy (played by both Trust’s Clive Owen, and MIB3’s Josh Brolin) to face-off against the deadly Ava Lord (Eva Green, 300: Rise Of An Empire).

Bruce Willis, Rosario Dawson, Jamie King, and Jessica Alba will all be returning to the fray, and joined by newcomers Ray Liotta (Goodfellas), Jeremy Piven (Entourage), Stacy Keach (American History X), and Dennis Haysbert (The Unit), when Sin City: A Dame To Kill For is released on August 22nd in the US, before making its official UK release date on August 29th.
