We saw how the legendary slave rose to fame as a gladiator in Blood and Sand, witnessed the rise of his gladiator school in the prequel Gods of the Arena, and now we can see how Spartacus ran his rebellion, and took the war to Rome, in Spartacus: Vengeance; Starz’ second full Spartacus season; the trailer for which can now be seen below.
Clearly sporting all the blood, gore, highly stylized special effects, and glorious violence we’ve come to love and expect from the series, as well as the wonderful, cutting-edge, digital effects, and slow-motion action that’s become a staple of the series, Spartacus: Vengeance will see Spartacus (Liam McIntyre; who replaced the late Andy Whitfield as the titular hero) having to choose between acting upon his personal need for vengeance against the man who condemned his wife to slavery and death, or making larger sacrifices for the good of his cause.
Returning with a blend of history, action, stylized violence, and drama which will arouse the senses and take you deeper into the action, and world of the legendary gladiator, Spartacus: Vengeance is out now on Blu-ray and DVD from Anchor Bay Entertainment.
