Hercules_DVD_Ret_Sleeve_S8.inddTwilight star Kellan Lutz steps onto the big screen as the legendary Demi-God Hercules in The Legend Of Hercules; the upcoming action epic which is available to buy now on iTunes, ahead of the official Blu-ray and DVD release date of August 4th; and you can now see The Legend Of Hercules’ official trailer below.

Coming from the makers of Olympus Has Fallen (the brilliant action movie starring Gerard Butler), The Legend Of Hercules sees the mythical hero of Ancient Greece betrayed by his stepfather, sold into slavery, and battling his way back to his former home all in the hope of not only dethroning a tyrant, but fulfilling a forbidden love.

Co-starring Gaia Weiss (the Mary Queen of Scots star who appears as Herc’s forbidden love Hebe), Rade Serbedzija (Taken 2), Liam McIntyre (Spartacus), and Scott Adkins (Undisputed 3: Redemption) as Hercules’ own tyrannical stepfather, The Legend will see the son of Zeus not only completing one of his infamous 12 labours, but targeted for death, fighting against the odds in gladiator-style death matches, and using his powers (and the gifts his father gave him) in the hopes of overthrowing the king, freeing his kingdom, and bringing peace to a warmongering land, all on the road to reclaiming the woman he loves.

Directed by Cliffhanger’s Renny Harlin (who also co-wrote the screenplay), The Legend Of Hercules shot to number 3 at the US Box Office upon its opening release, was dubbed “a rip-roaring sword-and-sandals, bloody action epic” by MMA Uncaged, and will be out to own on Blu-ray and DVD on Monday August 4th (whereas it’s already out to own on iTunes).
