St. Vincent Trailer

St Vincent 01Headlining the cast as a grumpy, drunken, retiree who enjoys his fair share of gambling, Bill Murray (Ghostbusters) will be spinning his own version of Mr Nanny in the upcoming indie drama St. Vincent; the first trailer for which is now available to view below.

Melissa McCarthy (Identity Thief) stars as a single mother who moves into a house near Vincent (Murray) and recruits him to watch over her 12-year-old son Oliver (unknown Jaeden Lieberher) when she can’t; probably unaware that his idea of ideal after-school activities includes visiting racetracks and stripclubs.

Co-starring Naomi Watts (The Ring star last seen in Diana) as a lady of the night, Chris O’Dowd (Bridesmaids) as a teacher, and both Terrence Howard (Red Tails) and Nate Coddry (The Heat), St. Vincent looks to follow a very familiar format (child hangs out with a waster, some questionable activities later they both learn a few life lessons), but could prove to be quite touching and amusing when it’s released on October 24th in the US (as of yet there’s no official UK release date).
