Steve Jobs Biopic Underway

0

Known as a true creative and business genius, the recent death of Steve Jobs; the man who gave the world Apple, introduced the world to the iPod, the iPhone, and the iPad; shocked the world and made headlines across the globe this week, and has now prompted Sony Pictures to attempt to buy the rights to produce a biopic of his life.

Sony are currently chasing the rights to the upcoming biopic, which is being written by former CNN chairman and Time Magazine managing editor Walter Isaacson, has recently had its release date moved up from November 21st to October 24th, and tells the tale of how Jobs helped to build the world’s most valuable technology company, and revolutionized both the computer, music, and mobile phone industries.

While the rights haven’t been finalized as yet, it’s no surprise that they are already being chased, and as Jobs’ death (at the hands of pancreatic cancer) and career are such hot topics at the minute, a deal is expected to be reached, and a script started, imminently; with a Jobs biopic quickly joining Sony’s other business-books-turned-biopics, The Social Network, and Moneyball.
