It’d been rumoured for a while, but last week we had the official confirmation that there will be a 24 spin-off titled 24: Legacy, and the show has just found its leading man; Straight Outta Compton star Corey Hawkins.
Titled 24; Legacy, the new show will not feature Keifer Sutherland’s Jack Bauer (despite that announcement, we wouldn’t rule out a cameo spot just yet), but is is still being produced by 24 veterans Howard Gordon, Manny Koto and Evan Katz, and will see Hawkins starring as Carter; a military type who returns from active deployment and has to turn to the CTU (Counter Terrorism Unit) for help with stopping a massive terror attacked planned on US soil.
Hawkins was most recently seen as Dr. Dre in Straight Outta Compton, will soon be seen in Kong: Skull Island (released on march 10 in both the US and UK), and back on TV screens as Heath when The Walking Dead returns next month.
