Super Bowl Movie TV Spots

This past weekend marked one of the largest, and most important, weekend in U.S. sports; it was Super Bowl Sunday; but far more importantly for movie fans, the Super Bowl is a time where the various ads (or commercials as they tend to be called stateside) are almost as important as the game, and provide the stage for a whole host of movies to gain that extra bit of promotion.

Many different films attempted to get in on the game, and gain a bit of extra recognition, this year, and while we have already showcased the Captain America TV spot, below is a selection of other movie TV spots featured during the game (complete with brief descriptions and release dates), that either contain brand new footage, or simply haven’t been featured here before.

Super 8:

The extremely secretive disaster movie from producer Steven Speilberg (The Pacific) and writer/director J.J. Abrams (Lost); which Abrams has described as a genre mixing science fiction movie, that’s also a love story, also a comedy, and also a special-effects spectacle movie.
