Following a recent shake-up over at Warner Bros./DC, and Supergirl channel-hoping to the CW for its second season, we recently found out the Man Of Steel himself, Superman, would be appearing in Supergirl (flying in the face of a previous corporate rule stating neither Superman, Batman, or Wonder Woman would appear on TV), and we now have an actor officially cast in the role; Tyler Hoechlin.
Hoechlin had his first role starring opposite Tom Hanks in Road to Perdition, but was recently seen on the big screen in Everybody Wants Some, and told the Daily Mail “Superman is Superman” – thanks for that Tyler – “so I’m just going to try to carry on the tradition of that and play that part”, adding how he’s “excited to find out Clark’s sense of humour”, and thinks “the fun is going to be finding where Clark Kent is in this world.”
