Tell No One Ben Affleck’s Directing

Since directing The Town proved unequivocally that he has a knack for not only standing in front of the camera, but also behind it, Ben Affleck has been rumoured to be linked to countless developing projects, but has just signed on to direct the upcoming mystery movie Tell No One.

Writer Chris Terrio (the writer behind Argo; Affleck’s next film) has been tasked with adapting Harlan Coben’s successful novel about a doctor who’s wife mysteriously vanishes when the pair are together at a lake, before he’s badly beaten, comes to believe she is the latest victim of a known serial killer, and then, after several years, learns she might not be completely dead after all.

So far there’s no release date, cast list, or start date, for the picture, though this will undoubtedly be a heavily watched production; as not only does Coben have a fairly large literary fanbase, but the 2006 French version of Tell No One was an extremely well received film, and one that gives Warner Bros. and Universal a lot to live up to.
