The Inbetweeners Movie Teaser Trailer

Fans of the show have been eagerly, and patiently, awaiting the release of The Inbetweeners movie for what seems like, and has in fact been, several months, but now at long last their patience and diligence has been rewarded, with the movie’s first official teaser trailer (which is now available to view below).

Not only does the trailer follow the same format as the teasers for the TV series (with a long tracking shot of the boys as they walk down a path and gawping at/being gawped at by passers by), but this one’s clearly riffing off the teaser for The Hangover 2, and promises just as many laughs, and booze filled antics as its American counterpart.

Will (Simon Bird), Simon (Joe Thomas), Jay (James Buckley), and Neil (Blake Harrison), along with a good deal of the series’ supporting cast (including Emily Head; as Simon’s long-time crush Carli; Belinda Stewart-Wilson; as Will’s mum; and Greg Davies as the infinitely watchable, and often intimidating, teacher Mr Gilbert), are all returning for the film which sees the boys going on a lads holiday to Malia in Cyprus, and clearly checking out all the girls while they’re there.

Few other plot details about the film; which will undoubtedly involve a huge amount of teenage angst, nervousness, boasting, and probably vomit; have been released thus far, though there’s likely to be more revealed in the inevitable theatrical trailer, which should debut sometime between now and the film’s release date of August 19th; plenty of time to get your wellies ready (a statement that will make sense after you watch the trailer, and here the brilliant, hilarious, and only, line of dialogue that plays at the end of the trailer; courtesy of Jay).
