The Inbetweeners Season 3 Prequel

1

When E4 comedy The Inbetweeners first aired back in May 2008, it immediately gained a huge cult following; that meant its second series would go on to gain the highest audience of any E4 show in 2009; and was nominated for, and won, numerous comedy awards (including winning a BAFTA for being the Best New British Television Comedy) for its darkly accurate and comedic portrayal of adolescent life.

After the success of the first two series, Will (Simon Bird); the former private school student who’s family circumstances have led to his being landed in a regular comprehensive school with common students; Simon (Joe Thomas); the lovesick teen who’s the most average of the bunch; Jay (James Buckley, who played the young Del Trotter in the Only Fools and Horses prequel Rock & Chips); the crude and compulsive liar who thinks of almost nothing but sex; and Neil (Blake Harrison, Re-Uniting the Rubins); the slowest member of the group, who is ironically the only one who seems to be successful with women; will be reuniting to begin their final year in sixth-form, at Rudge Park Comprehensive.

Focussing on the lads that are still stuck in the inconsequential gap between the cool kids, and the nerdy kids (being neither of the two themselves), The Inbetweeners will be back for its third series next month, and has had a short prequel clip (that can be seen below) released today, showing the boys having one of their usual discussions, on their first morning back at school.
