NBC is looking to make themselves immensely popular among moviegoers with the creation of a prequel series to 2008’s Taken. Young Bryan Mills has been cast, and he’s a somebody only a select few people would have heard of.
His name is Clive Standen, and he currently stars as Rollo on The History Channel’s Vikings. The new show will follow the young Mills as he becomes the CIA operative we all know and love. Alexander Cary (Homeland), will write, executive produce and serve as showrunner. Games of Thrones director Alex Graves will direct the pilot.
The latest cinematic Taken instalment was released back in January, 2015, and was critically derided but was a box-office success.
