The Walking Dead Shocking news, and Season 2 Trailer

Easily one of the most popular shows AMC has ever run, The Walking Dead had an extremely highly praised first season which earned itself a hugely loyal fanbase, largely due to the work of writer/director/creator/executive producer Frank Darabont; who’s known for his work on films such as The Shawshank Redemption, and The Green Mile, but will soon be stepping down as The Walking Dead’s showrunner.

Darabont’s exit from the show (which he spent five years attempting to greenlight) comes soon after sitting on the Comic-Con panel for the show, and seeming rather excited about it’s upcoming second season, and has come as a shock to both fans and industry followers; although it has been reported that the feature director never fully adjusted to working in a TV environment.

Still, season 2 of The Walking Dead is going ahead as scheduled; it’s set to premiere on October 16th, on AMC; and anyone who wishes to get a preview of the upcoming season can either read the Robert Kirkman graphic novels upon which the series is based (and guess what elements will or won’t be included), or watch the season 2 trailer below.
