Tom HiddlestonAvengers star Tom Hiddleston may be best known as Loki, the brother of Thor (last seen on screen in Thor: The Dark World), but is looking to expand his acting CV, and having been tipped for the lead role in the planned Ben-Hur remake he’s now joined another movie; Skull Island.

Due to be directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts (Kings Of Summer), Skull Island is the upcoming film from Legendary, which plans on exploring the origins of the legendary giant ape King Kong, and while Godzilla (2014) writer Max Borenstein is on scriptwriting duties there’s little known about the film as yet, other than the fact it’s likely to involve Kong once again battling other giant monsters, when Universal eventually release Skull Island on November 4th 2016 (in both the US and UK).
