Tommy Lee Jones Boards Bourne 5

Sadly not a Bourne/U.S. Marshals crossover… yet.

After the lacklustre response to The Bourne Legacy, fans should be pleased to learn original Bourne star Matt Damon has re-joined the franchise (as amnesiac super-assassin/spy Jason Bourne), along with Julia Stiles and director Paul Greengrass, and now veteran actor Tommy Lee Jones has committed to joining the team for his first Bourne outing.

No stranger to hunting special forces types on the run (see The Fugitive spin-off/sequel U.S. Marshals), Tommy is set to join the cast as a CIA official (similar to the role played by Brian Cox in the original Bourne movies), alongside Ex_Machina star Alicia Vikander (who’s filling an unknown role), in the film which is still lacking an official title, and has kept its plot very well guarded thus far, but is due to begin shooting this summer, ahead of a release date scheduled for July 29th 2016.
