TRON: Legacy Director Joseph Kosinski To Helm Wildfire Disaster Movie

Joseph Kosinski

Joseph Kosinski, who has made two of the most CGI-overloaded films I’ve ever seen (Tron: Legacy and Oblivion), is moving towards a more realistic setting with No Exit, which is based on the true story of the devastating wildfire in Prescott, Arizona that killed almost an entire team of firefighters. Lorenzo di Bonaventura will be producing, with Black Hawk Down‘s Ken Nolan penning the script.

In 2013, the Yarnell Hill Wildfire destroyed 8,400 acres and reached temperatures of over 2,000 degrees. The firefighters who died were all members of the Granite Mountain Hotshots, and Kosinski’s film will apparently focus on their mission to get the fire under control. It is now considered to be one of the worst firefighter disasters in American history.

No Exit will most likely begin shooting in the summer.
