Released on Blu-ray and DVD today (October 24th) V: The Complete Second Season is the second and final season of the sci-fi series which has been remade from the classic 1983 series (about aliens arriving on Earth), and as a special treat for fans we have the top five moments for the season, available to view below.

Chronicling the invasion of Earth by an alien species known as The Visitors (or V’s for short; hence the show’s title), V Season 2 heats up the battle between the seemingly peaceful alien race (who are offering people access to advanced technology, and healing centers for apparently no return) and the resistance movement known as The Fifth Column; a group consisting of humans and V-turncoats who realize their V’s generosity is simply a way of disguising their invasion plans; and takes the show to new levels, as we see in the first clip below that the V’s plan on building landing sites for their ships…

They’re building landing sites:

In the second of our clips the Fifth Column; led by FBI agent Erica Evans (Elizabeth Mitchell, Lost) attempt to blow up one of the proposed landing sites, yet have to try and overcome a rift from within, when an untrustworthy member of their group; a V named Ryan (Morris Chestnut, Boyz N The Hood); turns up and warns them that their plan could potentially harm a lot of people, and they’re unsure if they should believe him or not…

We can’t trust him:

Thirdly, after suffering a great loss, we have Erica explaining to her closest allies; a priest named Jack Landry (Joel Gretsch, Taken), a fugitive named Kyle Hobbs (Charles Mesure, This Is Not My Life), and a reporter named Charles Decker (Scott Wolf, Everwood); that as she’s just been given control of the Fifth Column’s global network, that it’s time to take the fight to the Visitors…

Who’s with me:

Another key moment in the final season of V, sees Erica being attacked by her FBI partner (Rekha Sharma, The Core); who turns out to be a visitor; and the clip below gives you only only a glimpse at their confrontation, but a hint at what the V’s really look like underneath their outwardly human appearance…

Malik is a visitor:

Our final clip shows the V Queen Anna (Morena Baccarin, Stargate SG-1) discussing her final contingency plan to ensure her designs for colonisation will succeed; should her daughter Lisa (Laura Vandervoort, Into the Blue 2: The Reef) fail to fulfil her purpose; and shows everyone just how ruthless the cold and calculating Queen can be, even when it comes to dealing with a baby…

Queen egg:

Upping-the-ante in terms of effects, drama, tension, and what’s at stake from the first season, V: The Complete Second Season sees Erica and Anna battling to secure the future of our planet; by discovering the truth behind Red Sky, playing a tug-of-war with their children’s blossoming relationship, and even struggling to pinpoint traitors from within their own organisations; and is out now to own on Blu-ray and DVD, as well as the Season 1&2 Boxset.
