V: Season 2 Trailer

Re-imagined from the classic 1983 sci-fi miniseries V; a show about human looking aliens arriving on Earth; ABC’s current series has proved to be a massive hit both in the U.S. and U.K., and will soon have it’s second season (the trailer for which can be seen below) aired on the U.K.’s SYFY network.

While the first season of V saw the apparently very human looking aliens (known only as Visitors) land in every major city across the world; declaring their wish to share their numerous advances in medicine and technology, for relatively few of our resources; season two will take on a much darker tone, and promises not only more characters and more plot twists, but more action than ever before.

Delving deeper into the sinister motives behind the Visitor’s arrival, their real goals for Earth’s future, and the level of corruption they have attained within our governments, businesses, and religious institutions, V’s second season sees the Fifth Column (the V resistance group) furthering the fight against the would-be invaders, and the mysterious Red Sky unleashed by Anna (Morena Baccarin, Stargate SG-1); the charismatic leader of the malevolent Visitors.

As well as seeing Morena Baccarin return, season two also stars Elizabeth Mitchell (Lost) as Erica Evans; an FBI agent who joins the Fifth Column movement; Morris Chestnut (Boyz N the Hood) as Ryan Nichols; a Visitor posing as a Fifth Column member; Scott Wold (Party of Five) as Chad Decker; a TV news anchor, and spokesman for the Visitors; and Joel Gretsch (Taken) as Father Jack Landry; a former Army chaplain turned Catholic priest, who was always ill-at-ease with the Visitors; as well as special guest star Jane Badler (who played Visitor Diana in the original classic) as Anna’s mother Diana.

The Second Season of V has already begun airing in the U.S. (and will have its finale on March 15th), but returns to U.K. TV on March 24th; after which it will air every Thursday at 9pm, on the SYFY channel.
