Written and directed by John Gray (Ghost Whisperer), White Irish Drinkers is a coming of age story set in a working class area of 1975 Brooklyn; where two brothers are forced to live a life of petty crime to survive; and is due to open the Craic Irish Film Festival in just under a week, and now has its official trailer online (which can be viewed below).

Following two Irish brothers who have been raised by an abusive father and an ineffective mother, the film shows the pair’s effort to escape from their surroundings; as older brother Danny (Geoffrey Wigdor, Sleepers) plans a scheme for them to steal enough money to escape, and the younger brother Brian (Nick Thurston, The Lake) has to decide whether to honour the loyalty he has to his brother, or to rely on the talent he has as an artist to provide a way out.

Also starring Peter Riegert (The Mask) and Stephen Lang (Avatar), White Irish Drinkers will have its U.S. premiere at the Craic Irish Film Festival on March 10th, before opening with a limited release in New York, L.A., Boston, and Toronto, on March 25th (with other areas following in April).
