X-Men: Days Of Future Past Director’s Cut Inbound

X-Men: Days of Future Past QuadWhile there’s still no word on an official release date for the latest X-Men movie, X-Men: Days Of Future Past, as of yet, fans have just heard (via a very brief Tweet from DOFP producer Lauren Shuler Donner) that the people at Fox are planning to release either an extended version, or a director’s cut, later this year.

Again, given the briefness of said Tweet, there’s little to go on as yet, though it stands to reason that we could see a good deal more of Anna Pacquin’s Rogue introduced into the film; as her originally pivotal role ended up minimised to a mere cameo during the theatrical release (much to the dismay of many a Rogue fan); though even if that isn’t the case, director Bryan Singer has already mentioned including her scenes on the DVD/Blu-ray release as part of a collection of deleted scenes.

As mentioned before, there’s still no official release date as yet (largely owing to the fact the latest mutant action movie is still hauling in Box Office cash at cinemas across the world; currently resting atop a total of roughly $724 million), though given the film’s popularity, and the fact Donner says it’s due later this year, we can expect to see X-Men: Days Of Future Past released on DVD and Blu-ray sometime before Christmas.
