Your Highness: Trailer

Your Highness; a comedy set in the fantasy world of swords, sorcerers, and weed smoking puppets; has recently had it’s first trailer (which is available to view below) released online, and looks as if it’s going to be a resounding hit with anyone who appreciates a wholly inappropriate sex joke, a good deal of physical comedy, seeing warrior women and fair maidens wearing metal thongs, and some excellently placed swear words.

It stars Danny McBride (Pineapple Express) and James Franco (127 Hours), as Thadeous and Fabious respectively; two princes sent on a quest to rescue the beautiful young virgin bride of Fabious (who’s played by 500 Days of Summer’s Zooey Deschanel) from an evil (and somewhat sexually frustrated) sorcerer named Leezar (Justin Theroux, American Psycho).

Journeying down the bumpy path to complete their quest, the two princes hook up with a young warrior woman named Isabel, who instantly gains the affections of the lazy Prince Thadeous, thanks to her headstrong personality, undeniable fighting skill, and ability to look good wearing a medieval fantasy thong.

Natalie Portman; the young star of Leon, who has been generating an enormous amount of pre-Oscar attention thanks to her stirring performance in Black Swan; has been gaining almost as much attention for Your Highness, as Black Swan, thanks to a scene in the trailer that clearly shows her stripping down to her underwear in order to take a bath.

Damian Lewis (Band of Brothers), Charles Dance (Last Action Hero), and Michael Clarke Duncan (The Green Mile), will also be appearing in the Danny McBride written film that’s due to be released on April 8th in the U.S., but won’t be hitting U.K. theaters until June 24th, 2011.
