It’s probably the most dangerous ‘game’ you can play, but 13 takes the idea of Russian Roulette to a whole new level by crafting a huge tournament from the pistol-based death-sport; as seen in the trailer below.
With a cast that includes Jason Statham (The Expendables 2), Mickey Rourke (The Expendables), Ray Winstone (The Sweeney), and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson (Gun) 13 follows a young man named Sam Riley (Vince Ferro, Control) who finds himself embroiled in a dangerous underground world where high-stakes bets are placed on the outcome of a game where the stakes couldn’t be higher, and losing means death.
Remade from the 2005 thriller 13 Tzameti, 13 was directed by Géla Babluani (the same director who made the original version), co-stars David Zayas (Dexter), Emmanuelle Chriqui (Entourage), Michael Shannon (Premium Rush), and Alexander Skarsgård (True Blood), and is due to be released on Blu-ray and DVD on October 8th.
