Stephen Fry Bafta 2We now know who’s up to potentially receive a shiny golden face at the 2016 BAFTA Awards; with Bridge Of Spies, and Carol leading the pack in terms of nominations.

Bridge Of Spies and Carol both received a total of 9 nominations, both The Revenant has notched up 8 nods, and Mad Max: Fury Road came away a total of 7 nominations (all technical). and The Martian and Brooklyn both have six nominations, while The big Short, The Danish Girl, and Ex Machina are all nominated in 5 categories.

While Tom Hanks has sadly missed out on a Best Actor nomination for Bridge Of Spies, Mark Rylance is up for the Best Supporting Actor for the same film, and although Trumbo is notably absent from most categories Bryan Cranston secured the film’s only nomination in the Best Actor category.

Stephen Fry will once again present the BAFTA Awards.

As always you can let us know your thoughts on the nominations; what’s missing, what didn’t deserve to be included, or what/who you want to win; in the comments section below.
