After taking the world by storm, the worldwide phenomenon that was E.L. James’ erotic novel 50 Shades of Grey proved there’s an undeniably huge market for what was dubbed as ‘mommy porn’, and naturally Hollywood are jumped on the success of the book, and hoping to court the same mommy-porn audience for the upcoming film adaptation, as seen in the first 50 Shades of Grey trailer (now available to view below).
Directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson (Nowhere Boy), and telling the tale of a somewhat innocent young girl named Anastasia Steel (Dakota Johnson, Need for Speed), who’s drawn towards the rich and powerful Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan, Marie Antoinette) and enter’s a world of sexual awakening, growing deeper and darker as his full personality is revealed, 50 Shades of Grey is due to be released on, you guessed it, February 14th, aka Valentine’s Day, next year (and they say romance is dead).
