Differing from the previous, CG-heavy, teaser trailer, the newly released trailer for Sony’s upcoming franchise reboot; The Amazing Spider-Man; features more of the Spidey we know and love (wisecracking, webslinging, and… wearing glasses), has just been released online, and is now available to view below.
Starring Andrew Garfield (The Social Network) as the latest incarnation of Marvel’s titular teenage superhero, The Amazing Spider-Man will see Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man battling with The Lizard (Rhys Ifans, Mr Nice), pining over Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone, The Help), and running from the police; who believe he’s simply a masked vigilante, and are led by Gwen’s own father George (Denis Leary, Rescue Me).
Co-starring Sally Field (Mrs Doubtfire) and Martin Sheen (The Way), as Peter Parker’s (Spidey’s) Aunt May and Uncle Ben respectively, the Marc Webb (500 Days of Summer) directed film is due to be released, in 3D, on July 3rd in the US, before making its UK release date on July 4th.
