It’s been 11 years since the release of American Psycho; the movie starring Christian Bale (The Dark Knight) as an investment banker who not only loved Huey Lewis and the News, but spent his nights murdering both his workmates and a selection of call girls; and Lionsgate now believe we’re due another visit from Patrick Bateman, as the studio is considering an American Psycho remake.
Noble Jones (who worked with David Fincher on The Social Network) has reportedly handed in a finished script (which he could direct) that updates the story and places it in modern day New York, and as soon as Lionsgate decide to kick the new film into produciton, the race will be on to find an actor who can deliver as solid a performance of the American Psycho as Bale did.
