After the gigantic success of the first Avengers movie, and the continued rise in quality of the Marvel movies (look at Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Thor: The Dark World, and Guardians of the Galaxy from last year), the upcoming superhero crossover-sequel Avengers: Age Of Ultron has easily become one of the most eagerly anticipated films of the year, and you can now see the latest Avengers: Age Of Ultron trailer below.
With the plot involving Tony Stark/Iron Man (once more played by a returning Robert Downey Jr.) creating an army of peacekeeping droids powered by a brand new A.I. named Ultron (voiced and motion captured by The Blacklist’s James Spader), and then watching as Ultron decides to copy SkyNet, declare all of mankind a threat to peace, and begin an attempt to exterminate the human race (beginning with The Avengers), Age Of Ultron will see the Avengers teaming up once again, to face their most deadly foe yet.
Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Chris Evans (Captain America), Mark Ruffalo (Bruce Banner/The Hulk), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow) and Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye) will all return as their superhero alter-egos, and will be joined by Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kick-Ass); as Quicksilver; and Elizabeth Olsen (Godzilla); as Scarlet Witch.
Directed by Joss Whedon (returning from the first film), and co-starring Samuel L. Jackson, Paul Bettany (who’s taking his voice-over work as Jarvis to the next level; by appearing as The Vision), Don Cheadle, and Cobie Smulders Avengers: Age Of Ultron will be released on April 24th in the UK, before making its official US release date on May 1st.
