With the imminent arrival of Marvel Studios’ biggest movie to date, Avengers: Age Of Ultron, the studio wants to make sure no-one could possibly forget, or miss, the fact their latest superhero crossover will soon be hitting cinemas, so followed their recent spat of character poster releases with a brand new trailer; now available to view below, along with the character posters.
Both more action and plot heavy than what we’ve seen before, the new trailer not only reminds us we’ll soon be seeing such comic book heroes as Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, The Hulk, Black Widow, and Hawkeye teaming-up to battle the forces of evil once again, but gives us a better look at Ultron (the AI made by Tony Stark to protect humanity, before eventually deciding to eradicate it), and our first glimpse of The Vision (the embodied form of Stark’s computer system JARVIS).
Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, and Jeremy Renner will all be reprising their Avengers roles, as will Samuel L. Jackson and Cobie Smulders, when they’re joined by newcomers Aaron Taylor-Johnson (the Kick-Ass star playing Quicksilver) and Elizabeth Olsen (the Godzilla star starring as Scarlet Witch), as well as the voice of James Spader (The Blacklist actor providing Ultron’s menacing tone), Paul Bettany in person for the first time as The Vision, and Winter Soldier’s Anthony Mackie (reprising his role as Falcon) when the Joss Whedon directed Avengers: Age of Ultron is released on April 23rd, before making its official US release date on May 1st.
