Coming from Australian director Jennifer Kent (a relative newcomer potentially best known as the ‘Lab Lady’ from Babe: Pig In The City), the upcoming horror The Babadook looks to be an old-fashioned chilling tale of a woman and her young son being visited by a terrifying monster; as seen in the newly released Babadook trailer (now available to view below).
According to Jennifer Kent, who also wrote the script for the film, The Babadook aims to make “the audience feel like there’s a pair of hands around their necks from the very first frame, getting tighter and tighter”, when it makes its UK debut at Frightfest, before hitting general release on October 24th.
