Starring David Carradine (Kill Bill) as a Saholin monk who roamed around the US looking for trouble he fix, ’70s TV show Kung Fu was a huge hit in its day, made Carradine a cult hero, and is now up for a big screen adaptation, which will be directed by Bill Paxton.
Paxton; who’s best known for starring in The Terminator, Predator 2, Aliens, and Twister; is a surprising choice of director, but will soon be looking for a lead actor to appear in the John McLaughlin (Black Swan) written film which is due to begin filming next summer in China, will likely place an Asian actor in Carradine’s former role, and aim to bring Kung Fu back to the masses.
