A controversial President even during his term in the White House, Lyndon Baines Johnson (more commonly known as LBJ) will soon be the subject of an upcoming biopic; a biopic which has just added Bill Pullman to its cast-list.
Pullman (soon to be seen reprising his role as President Whitmore in Independence Day: Resurgence) joins LBJ as Senator Ralph Yarborough; a progressive politician who often found himself at odds with the former VP who was thrust into the Oval Office following the assassination of John F. Kennedy.
Woody Harrelson (True Detective) is set to star as LBJ himself (possibly hoping for another Oscar nod, and awards recognition when he led the Larry Flynt biopic?), in the film which has been scripted by unknown Joey Heartstone, is due to be directed by Rob Reiner (The Bucket List director last seen as Leonardo DiCaprio’s dad in The Wolf of Wall Street), and set for release sometime next year.
