Now celebrating it’s 20th anniversary Boyz N The Hood is blasting its way onto Blu-ray for the first time with highly improved picture and sound quality, and in order to celebrate its release, we have a clip of director John Singleton (2Fast 2Furious), and star Cuba Gooding Jr. (Men of Honour), discussing the film at this year’s LA Film Festival, as well as the Blu-ray trailer (part of the same video) available to view below.
Co-starring Ice Cube (Friday), Morris Chestnut (Ladder 49), and Laurence Fishburne (The Matrix), Boyz N The Hood tells the tale of three young men growing up in the ghettos of South Central Los Angeles; where death, pain, and danger are a way of life, harmony coexists with adversity, and violence often seems like the only choice.
Boyz N The Hood marked John Singleton’s directing debut, launched the career of many of its stars, received multiple awards and Oscar nominations, and is a powerful film which has now been awarded with superior video and audio quality to any previous release, and a wealth of special features that include a new retrospective documentary, and is now available to order on Blu-ray direct from Amazon here, or by following the links below the trailer.
